Harry (short for Harriet) is a British author whose star is in the rise. She thinks she’s finally met “the one,” her perfect match, in Edward. Everything seems to be falling into place - they’re engaged, she’s finishing her book only slightly past her deadline, he’s signed a huge deal at work, and she has just found out they’re expecting a child. But when Harry starts to spend some time with and get to know Edward’s family - she is put fully on her guard. This book made me audibly gasp and palpably anxious many times. I was so invested in Harry’s well being in these twisted games and spent considerable time thinking through this and what the secrets could be. I genuinely did not see the twist despite it being fairly straightforward. I highly recommend this to fellow thriller/suspense and puzzle lovers.
